79313BRRadiologyJob Posting DescriptionNew hires with more than 1 year of experience may be eligible for a $15K sign-on bonusNew hires with less than 1 year of experience may be eligible for a $10K sign-on bonusThe Senior Sonographer is responsible for the following:Performs routine and complex ultrasound examinations as prescribed by a physician.Reviews and evaluates requisitions for ultrasound imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and determining appropriateness of procedure prescribed given diagnosis and clinical signs for routine examinations.Selects appropriate equipment and technical factors to identify pathologic and normal anatomy.Assesses patients' and parents' physical and emotional status and ability to respond to instructions and develops plan for adjusting to patients' specific needs.Follows QC/Data Integrity Workflow process.Practices High Reliability Communication techniques. Patient/Family/Team RelationsResponds to the uniqueness and clinical condition of the patient.Creates a supportive environment for the patient and the family.Promotes a positive work environment in compliance with ETU. EquipmentIdentifies and reports on equipment malfunctions.Assists in patient scheduling and facilitates efficient workflow within ultrasound area (board runner).Investigates and resolves technical and scheduling issues and performs designated quality assurance functions.Provides instruction on performing ultrasound procedures for trainees and fellows.Serves as a resource and responds to requests for information or assistance.
