• Employment Type: Local ContractWCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Psychiatric Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment at a prestigious hospital in North Providence, Rhode Island.Job Function:
  
  • Night Shift.
    
  • 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM.
    
  • Oversee the care of adult and pediatric patients facing life-threatening conditions, requiring complex assessments, high-intensity therapies, and critical interventions.
    
  • Offer emotional support, education, and comfort to patients and their families throughout their emergency room experience.
    
  • Maintain close communication with healthcare team members, while independently identifying the need for early intervention.
    
  • Prepare patients for surgery or diagnostic procedures, ensuring all necessary pre-operative requirements are met.
    
  • Perform a variety of medical procedures, including IV insertion, intubation, medication administration, blood draws, and more, as needed.
    
    Job Requirements:
    
    • 2 years of acute care experience in the relevant specialty.
      
    • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
      
    • Active State RN license (or willingness to obtain).
      
    • Current BLS, ACLS, and CPI certifications from the American Heart Association.
